1946 1947 1948 Vintage Ford Script Fog Lights W/ Amber Bulbs W/ Brackets Used on 2040-parts.com
Greenville, South Carolina, US
A pair of original 1946-1948 Ford factory script fog lights with brackets, used; for passenger and pick-up models; amber bulbs have not been tested; one light looks like there was some surface "bubbling" in the finish, and someone tried to buff it out...I can still see the rough area and tried to capture it in photo #8. Some of that slight bumpiness of the surface is on the back of the same lamp. There are tiny surface scratches and small surface blebs on both lights that come with a used pair.
I unclear how to properly measure the diameter of the lights/bulbs...if someone will coach me, I can update the page to let you know if these are 5" or 6"...I need assistance in determining if these are 6V or 12V
On the back side and on the metal neck is the stamp "Hall Lamp" (see photo #3). The "Ford" script is on the top of the back of both lights.
Page Update on 9/29/13...a kind member of the eBay Motors community sent me this valuable piece of info on these fog lamps:
"The
fog lights pictured are for a 1946 1947 & 1948 Ford. The lights
were made by C M Hall for FoMoCo. The same light was used in 1949 &
1950 but the brackets were different. The brackets on these lights were
made to mount on the pan of a 1946 - 1948 Ford."
These lights could be Ford part# FL-420AP-4015A if they are a 5", 6V.

This car part comes from the estate of Red39ford. I am his daughter,
and I want to give you insight into this auction.
Red39ford
adored a vintage American made car, especially Fords. He was born prior to WWII, and he came
from humble beginnings. He worked tirelessly in the healthcare industry
correcting, straightening, strengthening peoples' skeletal structures
so they had looked better and felt better about themselves. He helped
many a child grow up straight and strong and with confidence about their
physical appearance. He loved his work and his patients. His
restorations of Vintage Fords was merely an extension of that love.
In my
past experience of assisting Red39ford, as he bought and sold on Ebay
Motors, I learned first-hand what a friendly and supportive community this is.
Red39ford made great working relationships with several of you...some of
you even became good friends of his. I am going to rely on that
support as it is now time to liquidate his collection. I want to do it
effectively and efficiently. My goal is two-fold: to get Dad's
treasured parts into the hands of someone who wants it and can use it; and to have a
delighted buyer in the process.
I do not have Red39ford's extensive knowledge of vintage cars; nor, do I
have his memory on the history of this particular part. I have some of
his hand-written notes, yet not enough at times to always give you the
most accurate of descriptions. I need your
help.
If you have some additional knowledge of this part that would help me
describe the item more clearly for others, please post it in the "ask
the seller a question" section. I will post your contribution to the
page in the Q & A section so all may benefit from your information.
Where I lack in giving you a perfect written description of an item, I
will try to make up for in photos of details of the item. I will list
as many parts numbers as possible.
I thank you for your understanding.
Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Your questions and our
responses will be posted on this page in the Q & A section as a way to share information with
others.
We look for payment within 72 hours of your winning
bid. We ship, via USPS, Monday through Friday. Payments received

We ship only to addresses in the United States.
All sales are final.
Thank you for looking at our auction.
All the best to you,

Jaguar F-Type on video at Goodwood FoS
Fri, 13 Jul 2012We have video of Jaguar’s Mike Cross taking the new Jaguar F-Type up the hillclimb at Goodwood as Jaguar show off their new toy. We thought we were pretty much done and dusted with news from this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, but as Jaguar has finally managed to edit a video of the new Jaguar F-Type at the FoS we thought it worth revisiting one more time. Jaguar made a bit of a show of the camouflaged F-Type at Goodwood – its first public outing – with guards standing outside the container the F-Type was housed in to keep sticky fingers and prying eyes at bay.
Lexus Hybrid sales top half a million
Sat, 22 Dec 2012Lexus has revealed that they’ve sold more than 500,000 hybrid cars, with the Rx 450h the top seller and the CT 200h catching fast. Unsurprisingly, as it was the first Lexus hybrid to be introduced in 2005, the biggest seller - accounting for half of all Lexus hybrid sales to date (259,000) – has been the RX 400h / RX 450h, but the CT 200h, which was only introduced in 2011, is catching up fast with sales to date of 122,000 to date. During the last seven years Lexus hybrid sales have risen from 26,000 to 113,000 a year and 25 per cent of those Lexus hybrid sales now happen in Europe, even though we don’t get cars like the HS 250h (56,000 sales) and the ES 300h (8,000 sales).

Sun, 26 Feb 2012Infiniti Emerg-E Supercar Concept arrives ahead of Geneva The Infiniti Emerg-E Supercar Concept – heading for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show – has arrived early thanks to a leak. At the start of February we got a handful of teaser photos of the Infiniti Emerg-E, a range-extender electric sports car from Infiniti, with the promise of a reveal at the Geneva Motor Show in March. But the Emerg-E has arrived a bit early thanks to Interweb leaks.
