Peugeot 308 CC – GT100 Limited edition sells out pre-launch
Fri, 15 May 2009The Peugeot 308 CC launches in the UK on 1st June As an incentive to get buyers up and running quickly, Peugeot offered a very highly specced 308 CC – the GT100 Limited Edition – to the first 100 buyers in the UK, who not only got a lot more kit but also get their new cars ahead of the official launch. But, with a couple of weeks to go to the first regular cars hitting UK showrooms, Peugeot has announced that the 308 CC GT1 LE has sold out. Which is good news for them, but not so great for those hoping to get the extra kit.
Chrysler vows to rebuild SRT
Mon, 27 Jun 2011Ralph Gilles promises that Chrysler Group will be "very choosy" about the cars and trucks that get the SRT performance badge. Gilles, recently named head of SRT, is charged with rebuilding the SRT unit, which languished when Chrysler was owned by Cerberus Capital Management. Three new SRT vehicles, versions of the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 sedans and the Jeep Grand Cherokee, will arrive in dealerships this fall, joining the Challenger SRT8.
Faster Cat: Arden tunes the Jaguar XKR 75
Fri, 10 Sep 2010Jaguar celebrated its 75th anniversary with a number of special models, including the fleet-footed XKR 75. And a British tuner is goosing this lithe coupe even more. Arden boosts output to 580 hp and 531 lb-ft of twist, while bolting on a high-performance exhaust system and sport catalysts.
