Condition:Used

2 - 1946 GMC Engine and transmission assemblies for sale. First engine was in a truck I bought 2 months ago. Truck is in very good condition. Engine turns over easily. Starter turned when attached to battery. Coolant was clean and green. Oil looks good. Gas had soured. Air Cleaner not shown but will go with engine.
I did not try to start the engine, but it looks like with some love it would fire. Plug wires need replacing, Distributor probably needs some work, Spark Plugs not removed. All accessories in photos go with engine. Transmission has shifter, shifts easily, and has PTO shaft.
Second engine and trans (rusted looking in photos) were in a truck that was on a property I bought. Rocker cover had been removed. Been exposed for at least 30 years. Does not turn over, I would suspect it is locked up. All accessories in photos go with engine.
Nameplate photos are for first engine. Casting numbers are for first engine. Both trucks look identical so I am assuming both engines are the same.
Engines are being sold together. Engines are sold "as-is" no warranty as to condition.
Look at photos and ask questions. I am not an expert on these old trucks. I will try to answer all questions.
I can ship via common truck freight or engines can be picked up. I will palletize for shipping.
$100.00 deposit with winning bid. Must be paid in full before release of parts.
Pay Pal, Cashier's Check, or Cash acceptable. Personal check must clear my bank before release of parts.
Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.

Mercedes CLS (2011 / 2012) spied undisguised

Fri, 23 Jul 2010

Mercedes CLS 2011 Spy shot The Mercedes CLS was the first - and some would say still the best - interpretation of a four door swoopy-coupe. It set the benchmark for cars to follow and made the genre hugely desirable. We now have everyone from VW to Porsche and Aston Martin to Jaguar producing 4 door coupes, with Audi joining in with the Sportbacks and BMW about to put the Gran Coupe in to production.

The Porsche P1 is lighter, greener and more exclusive than McLaren's new hypercar

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

Long before the legendary Porsche 911 -- before, even, the Porsche 356 -- Ferdinand Porsche was tinkering with alternative powertrains and designing road-worthy vehicles. Though it wasn't the first vehicle to bear his name, the “Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model” was the earliest result of his efforts. Perhaps getting the jump on the modern alpha-numeric craze/plague, it was shortened to a simple “P1.” The P1 (we'll refer to it as the Porsche P1 from here on out to avoid confusion) made its first appearance in Vienna on June 26, 1898, and it didn't last long in the public eye: Before Porsche decided to pull it out and put it on display, it had reportedly been sitting in a warehouse, untouched, since 1902.
