Original GM accessory sun visor for the 1947-1953 Chevy & GMC trucks. GM part # 986877.

This is a tough GM accessory to find as GM only offered this visor in 1953.
Visor has been stripped to bare metal & repainted with the original style zinc oxide primer. Stainless trims have been polished. Reassembled with all new hardware & mounting brackets.

Installs using stainless clamp brackets on the drip rails & a pinch clamp in the center secures it at the center windshield divider molding. No holes need to be drilled to install it. Visor is complete with all the necessary mounting brackets & hardware. This 2 piece non adjustable visor Measures 54 1/2" to 55" wide {may fit other years & makes of vehicles also}.
Will need a final light sanding before painting it to match your truck.

This visor uses the standard Dieterich style end brackets. Stainless trim has a few very minor imperfections that are hard to see.
We included a few pictures of it mocked up on our '53 Suburban to give you an idea of what it will look like when installed.

You don't see this particular visor very often. Visor will be partially disassembled for safe shipping.

2013 Mercedes E Class Saloon & Estate price from £32,400

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Mercedes has revealed that the 2013 E Class saloon will start at £32,400 and the E Class Estate from 34,310. The E63 AMG costs from £73,720. In fact, with everything from lights to bumpers, grills to interior and smoother haunches and a big crease line down the side, Mercedes could almost have claimed the new E Class to be a new car rather than just a mid-life facelift for the current E Class.

This is the beginning of what hopefully becomes a weekly feature here at Autoweek.com. Your job as the reader is to figure out what car we were reviewing when we wrote these lines way back in 2004. This is a closed book test, so there will be no Googling of the answers.

Mercedes-Benz CL gets a facelift for 2011

Fri, 02 Jul 2010

Three years after its introduction, Mercedes-Benz has given the CL a mid-cycle facelift, providing the big two-door with lightly altered bumpers--those up front with new LED daytime running lamps, reshaped headlamps, a more contoured hood, larger exterior mirrors with integrated indicators and revised tail-lamp lenses, among other detailed visual changes. More significant than the styling tweaks, however, are the changes underneath the hood, with the arrival of a new twin-turbocharged 4.6-liter V8 direct-injection gasoline engine--the first of Mercedes-Benz's advanced MoVe powerplants that aim to bring efficiency gains to its lineup. With 429 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, the new engine delivers 47 hp and 125 lb-ft more than the naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 it replaces in the four-year-old CL500--enough to lower the luxury coupe's 0-to-62-mph time by 0.5 second to 4.9 seconds.
