Mercedes’ F125 concept might preview a hydrogen future for the automobile, but alongside this tech-laden show car Benz boss Dr Zetsche (with a little help from Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg) also unveiled a hardcore race car. It’s the Mercedes C-class Coupe AMG DTM, which will compete in next season’s Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters – think touring car, only with 4.0-litre V8s and rear-wheel drive chassis. GM improves, Toyota slips as industry sales decline eases

Ford, Honda and General Motors posted their smallest sales declines of the year in April, while Nissan and Toyota had their largest, as the industry improved from depressed levels of February and March. Drops of 33 percent at Ford Motor Co. and GM were in line with analysts' forecasts, as was American Honda's 25.3 percent slide.

The Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M completed the Goodwood Hillclimb in just 59 seconds One of the major attractions is the Goodwood Hillclimb, where cars tackle a 1.16 mile uphill course through the Parklands of Goodwood House. Cars race along an avenue of trees, past the front of Goodwood House and up a steep estate road – lined with flint walls and woodland – to arrive at the finish on Goodwood’s Equine Racecourse, overlooking the South Downs. Practice takes place throughout the weekend, with up to 200 cars competing.
