INFORMATION

MANUAL

Good morning, today we have a 1948 - DELCO REMY - ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT - OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE HANDBOOK up for auction.

This book contains a wealth of information for TESTING and REPAIR of BATTERIES / COILS / DISTRIBUTORS / GENERATORS / CRANKING MOTORS (Starters) / RELAYS and REGULATORS for Automobiles from the 1940s era.

It covers all brands of vehicles from the most common to the very obscure unknown brands.

The book is in a good used condition. The manual comes from a former General Motors dealership, and as such has been used by the mechanics in the dealership. It may have some dust and stains, and greasy finger prints on some pages

The book is 8 1/2" by 11" and has 296 pages. It contains all the information that a mechanic needs for the repair parts of these type of vehicles.

It covers the following type of products:

BATTERIES

IGNITION COILS

DISTRIBUTORS

GENERATORS

REGULATORS

STARTER MOTORS

SWITCHES

Even though this book is for a 1948 I am sure most information can be used for other year models as well, as there was not many changes between the years.

These books are invaluable if you are able to do your own repair work. A similar manual on a car I owned saved me over $800.00 on a repair that I could do myself, as opposed to having a dealer do the service work.

The book should pay for itself after only one use.

This book is a MUST HAVE if you are still using one of these older model vehicles.

This book is considered a HARD FIND and rarely appears on Ebay - Do not hesitate about bidding on this item - You may NEVER find another copy

Unfortunately we are located in Canada, and delivery may take longer than if it was mailed from a US address - Delivery is usually 7 to 10 business days.

We have several similar manuals on auction this week and will gladly combine items for the lowest shipping cost.

As you can probably tell from the quality of my pictures, I do not make my living as a professional photographer

Shipping & Payment

Shipping for this item is only $6.35 (USPS FLAT RATE BOX) for all areas of North America, except CANADA which is $14.95, with very secure packaging. This is the actual cost of postage from Canada to the USA since Canada Post raised their rates on Jan. 12

For payment we accept PAYPAL, .

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING

and

GOOD LUCK BIDDING

GM to double size of battery lab

General Motors says it will spend $8 million to double the size of its Global Battery Systems Lab, which the company claims is the largest and most technologically advanced automotive battery lab in the United States. GM says the expansion will speed up the development of hybrid and electric vehicles, such as the upcoming Chevrolet Volt, by improving on-site testing of battery cells and systems. When finished, the lab will be 30,000 square feet bigger than it is now, for a 63,000-square-foot total.
