  Description
This is a rare NOS original Lincoln/Mercury accessory Glare-Proof Rear View Mirror. Finding all of the applications for these early Lincoln/Mercury accessories is difficult at times. I found listings which show it is correct for '49 and '50 Lincoln models. However, It may also be correct for '49-'50 Mercury models. I know Ford used a similar mirror that is correct for their '49-'51 passenger cars. So, if you have this same mirror on your '51 Lincoln or Mercury let me know.

This mirror has never been used. The chrome is absolutely show quality. The glass, however, needs to be changed. It has many lines of de-silvering in it. It's a flat glass, so nothing special is required.

This mirror comes with everything shown in the photos. That includes the old original Lincoln box, the instructions which the dealer would hang on the mirror after they installed it and the mounting plate and screws.

The housing measures 7.25" X 2.75".

Fri, 13 Jul 2012

Omega manufacturing made a public name for itself this week as the supplier inadvertently revealed the front nose of the new Corvette C7 in every detail imaginable. A big whoops for the supplier and a speculator's dream come true before the C7 reveal at the Detroit auto show in January. Edsel Ford II had a secret shopper as Autoweek senior online editor Rory Carroll went to the RM Dingman Collection auction on assignment.
