NOS Radiator Hoses, upper AND lower (2 total, they use the same size). Prestone brand by the Union Carbide Corporation. Prestone number CA3-3417. Hoses are in perfect condition and in original boxes. Hoses are: 1-3/4" ID and 17" long. You could cut it shorter for custom size applications. These Vintage radiator hoses are NOT like the smooth, non-Vintage look like todays cheap hoses. The hoses have the outer nylon ribbed Vintage look and has "Prestone" stamped on it.  As noted on the box, it is a heavy duty hose, long life construction, steel wire ribs-prevents collapse, nylon reinforced outer wall, free-flowing inner wall withstands high speed engine pressures. According to the applications on the box, they are for the following applications: CHRYSLER: 1949-1951 all models with 8 cylinder. 1951-1952 C52 New Yorker, C54 Imperial, C55 Saratoga V-8. DESOTO: 1954 models with V-8 without torque converter. PONTIAC: 1961-1963 models with 8 cylinder TRIPOWER. Because of the design, it will bend to a 90 degree angle and will not collaspe. Judges look for the smallest details such as Vintage, period correct looking radiator hoses. Just try to find this type of radiator hose at your local Auto Parts Store.  As with anything please check YOUR application before bidding. I aquired this and other radiator hoses from a long closed garage. Sold as is. Payment is by PayPal. Buyer pays $10.95 UPS shipping and handling in the 48 US States. Additional shipping charge to Canada and International locations. Yes I combine shipping on multiple items when possible. Please ask questions before you bid. NOTE-IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE ABOVE TERMS, PLEASE DO NOT BID!!

Remember this day in GM history: The next century of automotive success starts now

Mon, 30 Mar 2009

President Obama's administration made history today with what some see as nothing short of government meddling in the affairs of big business. What I see is something else: I see the administration showing that it is serious and raising the level of concern from yellow to orange. Now there is a firm deadline and a message to bondholders, United Auto Worker union members and the American public: Do not be surprised if in the next 30 days--or even sooner-General Motors files for a controlled bankruptcy.

Video: BMW M1 Hommage

Tue, 29 Apr 2008

BMW took the wraps off its latest concept car at the Concorso d'Eleganza in Villa d'Este this past weekend. Called the M1 Hommage, the concept is exactly what it says on the tin: pay homage to the iconic M1 designed by Giorgio Giugiaro, which celebrates its 30th birthday this year. The design of the M1 Hommage concept is a thoroughly modern interpretation of the original - compete with a louvered rear window - but it has grown in size over its thirty year old forebear.
