Toyota recalls Prius models for steering fix
Wed, 01 Jun 2011Toyota Motor Corp. is recalling 106,000 units of its first-generation Prius hybrid vehicle to fix a power steering problem that can make the car difficult to turn. About 52,000 of the cars were sold in the United States and 48,000 in Japan, Toyota said.

The two-seater was launched in 1999 as a 2000 model and is a favorite of enthusiasts who enjoy its slick manual transmission and tight chassis. Fri, 05 Nov 2010The BMW EfficientDynamics is set for production in 2013 Probably the biggest show stopper at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show was the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept, which offered a diesel hybrid setup withn two electric motors, M3 levels of performance and low emissions with 75mpg. In essence, a BMW M1 for the Eco generation. Since BMW revealed their Vision ED other premium car makers have joined the eco-supercar game and announced production of what amount to high-performance hybrids and/or electric cars. Mercedes has confirmed they are working on an SLS AMG E-Cell, with a working prototype already running around.
