1949 Ferrari Yearbook Literature Brochure

This 1949 Ferrari Yearbook has over 50 pages of interesting articles and art work covering everything from the Mille Miglia to the principal Ferrari Team drivers of the era. There are fold-outs and cutaway drawings that are very impressive! The pages of this yearbook are not finger printed or soiled in any way. There is a smudge at the bottom of its textured cardboard rear cover next to the notation that it was reproduced by Ferrari historian Dick Merrit in 1966. Its front cover has an almost undetectable “soft” fold which occurred sometime in its past. The yearbook’s overall condition other than these two issues is excellent. It would be a significant addition to any serious Ferrari literature collection.

KTM is an Austrian motorcycle company. Originally it produced only off-road bikes, but now it also makes ATVs / quads and road orientated machines, all focused on the enthusiast end of the motorbike market - there are no retro-cruisers, scooters or large screened tourers in the KTM range. In the summer of 2005, this hardcore motorbike company, along with their design partner of 14 years, Kiska, embarked on a research project, which within 6 months saw them committed to adding a sports car to their range.

Audi RS6 Avant Plus outed by Audi UK

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Audi RS6 Avant Plus outed by Audi UK The Audi RS6 Avant is, in many way, the pick of the ‘Uber’ estate cars from Germany. True, it’s eschewed its monster V10 for a 4.0 litre V8 turbo in its latest iteration, but in the process it’s become a more complete car which offers great dynamics as well as a mountain of power and torque, judiciously employed through Audi’s quattro 4WD. But as Stephan Reil, Audi Quattro Division boss, said back in January, Audi are planning an even more powerful ‘Plus’ version of the RS6 Avant with around 600bhp to take on cars like the Mercedes E63 AMG S which also offers 4WD (at least in LHD markets) and 577bhp.

Jaguar is teaming up with Williams F1 to put a limited run of $1.1 million C-X75 hybrid-powered supercars into production in late 2013 with a crucial partnership that links two storied British companies to develop cutting-edge technology. Jag and Williams have been working on a production plan for the C-X75 since January and will share development over the next few years. “Williams has expertise in composite structures, advanced powertrains, aerodynamics, low-volume production and speedy production development,” said Bob Joyce, Jaguar Land Rover's chief engineer.
