These are more "mystery" items I came across in storage. they probably go with the similarly colored crank pulley I have listed elsewhere. As with the pulley, a piece of note paper in the box stated simply "nav. sea 1950 8ba. I have no idea what these are really. The water outlets appear new to me and the straight tube might be an oil filler tube. Either way, I have never seen plated parts like these. The original owner was a military vehicle restorer, but he left no clue about these parts.

New Volkswagen Golf GTi at Geneva Motor Show 2013
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Volkswagen will unveil the production version of its MK7 Golf GTi at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, marking more than 30 years of the venerable hot hatch. This isn't the first time we've seen this car: back in September, Volkswagen showed a concept version of the GTi at the Paris Motor Show. Concept it might have been but a visit to Spec Savers is required before trying to spot the changes between that car and this production version.
Honda recalls CR-V to fix control-arm problem
Fri, 23 Mar 2012Honda is recalling about 1,300 copies of the 2006 CR-V to inspect and possibly replace the right-front lower control arm. Honda says that the part could have been made with an improper welding process. Over time the control arm could break at the weld.

Tue, 26 Mar 2013Jaguar has pulled a surprise with the reveal of a more focused, and expensive, XKR ahead of the New York Auto Show – the Jaguar XKR-S GT. The XKR-S GT doesn’t get extra power – the XKR-S already has 542bhp – but it does get lots of tweaks to make it more able to use the performance it has. That means a new bonnet with more vents to improve cooling, a new carbon fibre front splitter, new rear diffuser, an aluminium undertray at the front, a whopping great spoiler at the back and bits of carbon fibre floating around.
