pitting on pull ring
Brand:GMC Placement on Vehicle:Right

Offered is a dip-stick removed from 1949 GMC truck with a 228 motor block......  casting number "6107326-GMC-6".  Screen shot in last photo slot has some information on GMC inline engines/parts of the late 30's through 50's era.....the "6107326 being one listed being from 1939-52.   Don't know if it will be calibrated correctly for others listed in the screen shot( ?)

I assume (?) the dipstick is OEM to the engine.  I purposely left some paint on it (pics 4,5) when cleaning it up. .... red-orange paint matches the donor's  block color.

Good shape other than some rust damage on the pull ring.

May be other parts from this engine available but please do not wait to ask if there's something you have been looking for...donor is at a very busy self-service salvage yard (late May 2016) and getting picked daily.

Will do my best to answer any questions or concerns and thank you for looking...
