After launching a new Giulietta to celebrate its 100th anniversary, Alfa Romeo will continue the party June 26-27 with a huge rally for owners of its vehicles. The global gathering will be held in Alfa's hometown, Milan, Italy. More than 3,000 participants are expected to show up, and the festivities will include a rally through downtown Milan (filmed by helicopter), concerts and the presentation of a sculpture.

Mercedes-Benz's U.S. executives expect to add volume with a new range of front-wheel-drive compact cars that arrive starting in 2013 and new derivatives of the redesigned C class due in 2014 or 2015. Around the world, Mercedes will introduce at least 10 new models by 2020 as part of a plan to become the world's top-selling luxury-vehicle brand by then.

Maserati sedan spied near Modena

Maserati has confirmed its upcoming sedan will be called the Ghibli, and a heavily covered four-door model has been captured near Modena, Italy. Is this the purported E-segment sedan that could spell sales volume and an extension of the Maserati brand? We hear the prototype appeared to be smaller than the Quattroporte and with a different interior.
