New Peugeot 308 now on sale in the UK
Sat, 04 Jan 2014New Peugeot 308 (pictured) now on sale in the UK The new Peugeot 308 was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in September, and Peugeot revealed full specs and prices for the 308 in October ahead of it going on sale in the UK. Which it now has. And actually, the new 308 does seem to promise real competition for the stalwarts in its sector – the Ford Focus and VW Golf – with a wide range of engine options, decent looks and prices that start at just £14,495.
Dacia won’t build a car smaller than the Sandero
Sun, 02 Jun 2013The Dacia Sandero (pictured) will remain Dacia’s smallest model In austere times, budget buys sell. Which is why Dacia is having so much success with its compact Sandero and Duster SUV. With prices on the Sandero starting at just £5,995 and Duster SUV prices as little as £8,995 (although you’ll have to pay £10,995 for a 4WD version), car buyers are buying Dacias as quickly as Renault can build them, with sales in a European market that shrank by 7 per cent last year up by 18 per cent to 90,000 cars for Dacia.
Hyundai i20 to go WRC Rallying
Thu, 27 Sep 2012Hyundai has confirmed it’s going rallying with an i20 heading for the WRC sporting around 300bhp and 4WD. Hyundai has announced that it is going to compete in the FIA World Rally Championships with a car based on the three-door i20. Hyundai hasn’t been rallying since it withdrew from motorsport in 2003, but the arrival of more convincing models – and growing sporty pretensions in the Hyundai range – make a rally glow a sensible move for the Korean firm.
