This is an NOS Mercury Hubcab with "Mercury Man" in center.

It appears to be an accessory type of hubcap as I can't figure out what year it was supposed to work on, but this style appeared around the 1952-54 range which had the built in beauty rings to the cap I believe, whereas this is just the center hubcap.

Measures 10.5" outer diameter.

Has some very minor imperfections to the stainless surface, but as you can see in the pictures, this is a very nice piece that's never been on a car.

Jetstream SC250 (2008): first pictures

Tue, 26 Aug 2008

By Ben Whitworth First Official Pictures 26 August 2008 09:32 This is the new Jetstream SC250, a Cornwall-based newcomer to Britain’s low-volume sportscar industry – and arguably the most eye-wateringly ugly car we’ve seen in a very long time. The lightweight two-seater is powered by Vauxhall’s turbo 2.0-litre unit – lifted from the Astra VXR – and it’s priced at £29,495. Err, yes – we also feel the SC250’s looks might be a bit of a stumbling block to someone about to flash the best part of £30k on a track-based racer.

Jean Bugatti's final project realized 73 years after his death

Fri, 10 Aug 2012

Legendary designer Jean Buggati's final unfinished project has finally been realized by the Mullin Automotive Museum, 73 years after his death. The Southern Californian Museum is devoted to the preservation of French art and automobiles from the Art Deco era, and has announced that the 1939 Bugatti Type 64 Coupe Chassis #64002 project is nearing completion. The museum – alongside Stewart Reed Design of Pasadena and Automobile Metal Shaping Company of Michigan – has added the swooping coupé body to the original chassis based on sketches left unfinished by Bugatti at the time of his death in 1939.
