This is an NOS chrome plated gas door guard in the original box manufactured by Budd Barr in the early 1950's. This gas door guard fits all 1950 Ford passenger cars. The chrome is in good condition ( a couple of small rust spots, see the photo) and the guard has never been installed. Perfect for adding a gas door guards to your Ford, but will fit most makes of autos, Chevrolet, Dodge, Chrystler, Mercury, Oldsmobile.  There is a hardware packet included, but may be missing 2 nuts, but those are readily available. Donald Frey, a senior product planning manager at Ford Motor Co. in the 1960s who along with Hal Sperlich and Lee Iacocca developed the iconic Ford Mustang, died on March 5 in Evanston, Ill., from a stroke. He was 87 years old.
