You are viewing a genuine vintage 1950's Unity Mfg Co. pillar mounted SPOTLIGHT, with Mounting Bracket and wiring (shown) Model S-6 Made in the USA and up for auction. Excellent used condition, cleaned and polished, with some mild pitting on chrome handle.  All movements are in good working order. Light works great and has a GE bulb with a couple of small smugs. Approx. size is 12.5 inch arm, 6.00 total diameter, 5.00 inch bulb and about 4 inches deep. Chrome on back of light is in great shape! It would be nice for any old car, truck, van, boat, or farm tractor from that era. Please ask any questions before bidding. NOTE: VERY LOW STARTING BID HAS BEEN REDUCED!!

IN AN UNUSUAL combination of motoring and gardening, car manufacturer Hyundai has created a design installation consisting of a aquaponics ecosystem powered by the emissions from its fuel-cell vehicle. Aquaponics is a sustainable method of farming that combines growing plants in water (hydroponics) and aquaculture (raising fish in tanks). Unlike any other fuel-powered vehicle, the hyrdrogen fuel cell ix35 emits nothing other than water when being driven.

This short video, featuring designer Oskar Zieta, details the process and design possibilities behind products developed with FiDU (Freie Innendruck Umformung – "free internal pressure forming") technology. Zieta, a Polish designer, explains how the lightweight yet robust metal appears as a soft object yet when you touch it you realize that it is actually a hard metal. "Working with FIDU technology is similar to carving clay," Zieta explains.
