PONTIAC HUBCAPS

THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  4 CAPS ARE INCLUDED.  ROUGHLY 10 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND 7 &3/4 INCHES TO 8 INCHES AT THE CENTER HOLE.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  THESE ARE GOOD UNRESTORED CAPS.  VERY GOOD CAPS FOR THE VEHICLE MISSING THEM.  PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY, READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION AND USE THE ZOOM FEATURE BEFORE BIDDING.

THEY SUFFER FROM SOME  TYPICAL WEAR INCLUDING  LITTLE DINGS, BB IN SIZE MOSTLY, AND SOME SCRATCHES ON EACH.  MUCH OF THIS IS ACTUALLY ALONG THE BACK EDGE THAT YOU DO NOT SEE.  PROBABLY FROM REMOVAL.  ONE CAP HAS JUST A LITTLE BIT OF TINY LITTLE RUB SCRATCHES TOWARDS THE CENTER.  THERE IS ALSO SOME PAINT WEAR. OVERALL THOUGH A VERY GOOD, VERY HARD TO FIND, SET.  ANOTHER  GREAT THING  ABOUT THIS SET IS THE REAR SIDE. A LOT OF THESE GM CAPS RUSTED OUT AROUND THE EDGES WHERE THE BASE MEETS THE CHROME.  THESE CAPS LITTLE OF THIS WITH HARDLY AND RUST AND ONLY A COUPLE OF PIN HOLES ON EACH CAP.  THEY HAVE SURVIVED TIME WELL.

THEY ARE NOT PERFECT FRIENDS, NONE OF THESE OLD CAPS ARE.  THE SET IS VERY REASONABLY PRICED. ALSO VERY COOL WALL ART.

COOL EXAMPLES FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION I RATE THIS SET A 4.

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD AND COMBINE SHIPPING!

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 10 years of selling over a 8000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Nissan LEAF: UK prices

Mon, 17 May 2010

The Nissan LEAF EV will sell at £21,350 in the UK after subsidies are taken in to account Agree with their focus – some would say obsession - or not, you can’t help but admire Nissan’s intentions to make the electric car a mainstream reality. It’s a big commitment and a bold move which could actually make or break Nissan in the coming years, in the same way as the hybrid obsession at Lexus. But putting aside the business sense of a headlong tilt in to electric cars, we have to admit that the headline price for the Nissan LEAF in the UK – just announced as £23,350 (after taking in to account Government incentives) – is a very competitive price point.

-- Like you, we've often wondered which vehicle would win in a tug of war: a Land Rover Defender, or a diesel Ram truck. And while we were wondering, some enterprising gents in the U.K. have actually gone out and done it.
