1951 1952 PLYMOUTH HUBCAPS

HERE'S SOMETHING THAT IS HARD TO FIND YET REASONABLY PRICED.   WE JUST NEVER FIND THESE CAPS. THE FIRST WE HAVE FOUND IN MANY YEARS.  SERIOUSLY.  THIS IS IMPORTANT...PLEASE USE THE ZOOM FEATURE ON THE PICS AND READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION. 3 CAPS ARE INCLUDED.

I COMPARED THESE TO TWO OTHERS WE HAVE LISTED AND THE CENTER EMBLEM IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN THOSE TWO.  VERY MUCH THE SAME BUT SLIGHTLY LESS DEFINED.  THEY DEFINITELY APPEAR AS THOUGH THEY WERE MANUFACTURED BACK IN THE DAY BUT IT MAKES ME WONDER IF THEY WERE REPLACEMENTS OR MAYBE CHRYSLER USED DIFFERENT VENDORS.  THEY ARE BASICALLY THE SAME IN WEIGHT, ATTACHEMENT AND SO ON AS THE OTHER TWO.

ANYWAY THEY ARE VERY GOOD IN APPEARANCE OVERALL.  NICE BRIGHT EXAMPLES.   THERE'S BB TO FINGERPRINT SIZED DINGS AND LIGHTER  SCRATCHES ON EACH ONE. MUCH OF THIS IS AROUND THE OUTER EDGE PROBABLY FROM IMPROPER INSTALLATION.  ONE HAS A FLAT SPOT AT THE CENTER THAT JUST IS NOT EXTREMELY NOTICEABLE.  WE ALSO NOTICED THAT A COUPLE OF THEM HAVE THE VALVE STEM HOLE SLIGHLTY OUT OF ROUND.  ALL PRETTY COMMON FOR CAPS OF THIS VINTAGE. IN OUR OPINION, NOTHING IS TERRIBLY HARSH.   ANYWAY, NOT BARRETT JACKSON CAPS PROBABLY IN CURRENT CONDITION, BUT REALLY GOOD LOOKING HARD TO FIND CAPS.  LOOK TO MAKE SURE THE CAPS ARE RIGHT FOR YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE BIDDING! PLEASE.   3 CAPS ARE LISTED HERE .  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, I RATE TWO OF THEM A 3+++ AND ONE A 3++, BASED ON AGE, RARITY AND CONDITION.  PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICS CAREFULLY.

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE!  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 10 years of selling over a 7000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Parking wardens given ‘illegal’ bonus targets Driverless cars on UK pavements by 2015 Speaking to the BBC, Guide Dogs’ campaigns manager James White: “It can be frightening for anyone who is forced to step into a road because the pavement is blocked by a van, car or other badly parked vehicle.

Video: Hennessey Venom GT now unofficial fastest production car

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

The Hennessey Venom GT hit its top speed of 270.49 mph last week at the Kennedy Space Center, edging out the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport's previous 269.86 mph record. Hennessey and Bugatti have been battling for the top spot of "fastest production car in the world," and this time America came out on top. Hennessey attempted a record run in 2013, reaching a top speed of 265.7 mph before running out of room on the 2.9-mile-long runway at the Naval Air Station in California.

Going, going, gone: Ford sells Volvo to Geely

Mon, 02 Aug 2010

Little more than a year ago, the name Geely would happily slip under the radar of most. Today, the Chinese company completed its purchase of Volvo from Ford. Geely stumped up a $1.3 billion in cash for the Swedish brand and issued a $200m note.
