My father in law just purchased a 1951 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck with a GM 216 6 cyclinder gas engine motor in it. from the 2nd owner of it who owned it the past 35 years!! the truck was in EXCELLENT ORIGINAL condition!! the only issue it had was that it had NOT been drove many miles in the past 5 years, its just been setting in a heated garage!! Well taken care of, well maintained!! He bought the truck, got it running again, drove it about 500 miles, and then decided to turn it into a hot rod!! Wed, 21 Oct 2009The hybrid Honda CR-Z revealed at Tokyo Although we are on record as not being huge fans of the Honda Insight - Toyota’s saloon hybrid – the CR-Z does look much more promising. You can think of it as an Eco replacement for the successful CR-X of years gone by. But Honda are all too well aware of the major criticisms of the Insight and have taking steps to make the CR-Z more appealing to drive.

Wed, 22 May 2013It’s the first properly good news from Lotus for a while, and looks a promising offering at the same price (£52,800) as the tin top Exige S and, remarkably for a convertible, actually weighing less than the hard top – although by only 10kg. The Exige S Roadster gets the same 3.5 litre V6 as the coupe which means 345bhp, 295lb/ft of torque and a 0-60mph of a very respectable 3.8 seconds, but it does lose the coupe’s rear wing and front splitter for better airflow. The folding roof on the Roadster is a manual affair, but Lotus say fresh air motoring is just ‘Two clicks and a roll away’, so the manual roof is probably the best – and lightest – option.
Brian Wilson on the Beach Boys' car songs
Mon, 11 May 2009Brian Wilson, the musical giant behind so much of the Beach Boys great music, sang at the Petersen gala in Los Angeles last week, and there were plenty of songs about cars and drag racing in the mix. "We're going to do a series of car songs because this place has a lot of cars," Wilson announced before leading his 10-piece band into "Little Deuce Coupe," "409," "All Summer Long" and "Shut Down." The band played to a packed house at the museum's annual fundraiser. Wilson's set was surely the most entertaining in the Petersen's 15 years of fundraising galas.
