This listing is for a running 235 cubic inch Chevrolet/GMC engine with the pressurized oil system. These were used on Chevy cars and trucks from 1951 up but will also fit the older models.
As you can see in the pictures, the engine was left dirty so you can see there are no leaks. This engine was removed from a running/driving truck with 45,000 miles on the odometer. We have no idea what the compression is but can tell you it wasn't smoking when it ran. Fuel pump and carburetor are good but could use a cleaning. Water pump did not leak. We are liquidators. Phone use penalty 'could double'
Wed, 16 Jul 2014THE PENALTY for using a mobile phone while driving could be doubled under proposals being examined by the Government as part of a safety drive, Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin said. Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe has called for offenders to be handed six points on their licence rather than the present three, meaning a ban from getting behind the wheel if caught twice in three years. Mr McLoughlin said it was an "interesting suggestion" that he was considering in an effort to end the "appalling" number of people killed and seriously injured in accidents where a phone was being used in the hand.
