some surface rust but good metal for restore, has orig rubber bumper cushions and some undercoating
Brand:Ford Flathead V8 Surface Finish:Originally it was painted Argent (a silver color) Manufacturer Part Number:Part # 17748 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Placement on Vehicle:Front

This came off my 52 Sunliner, which is like all of the flathead and V8 engine 52, 53 and 54  passenger Fords. The early 52 Ford gravel shields did not have an oval hole in it where a brace rod went thru the gravel shield to connect the hood support panel above to a mount on the cross member below. This gravel shield has surface rust but is solid otherwise. It still has some original undercoating and the original rubber bumpers on it to eliminate rattles. The pass side end got bent a little while disconnecting it from the fender but the metal is good. It will need minor body work to restore it. This panel could also be used with the longer orig flathead 6 engine but some metal in the  center radiator area would need to be removed to clear the radiator.

Can technology help us do a better job of training novice drivers? Note the term "novice," which is coming to replace "teen" as the focus of national concern about inexperienced drivers. This stems in part from graduated driver licensing (GDL) laws that have pushed up the age of new drivers and is partially a reflection of recent studies showing that it's not just newly licensed drivers, but all inexperienced drivers younger than 25 who are at higher risk of death or injury in car crashes.
