Original Pre-A Driver's Manual, Dated August 1953. The manual is in very good condition for its age. Dye from the front and back covers bleed into the interior pages, which happens to every single one of the originals (the best ones being on the very first and last interior pages with minimal staining, if you see one with no stains on the very first or back page there is a 99% chance that it is a fake).
Interior pages are generally clean besides the dye stain. All pages are fully attached to the staples, which is a plus as some manuals have detached pages as the staples break due to rust typically. The very first page has the upper right corner cut, I would assume that portion had the previous owner's name. There is no water damage, there is slight moisture damage but no pages are stuck together. Didn't see any large or heavy stains on pages but some a few pages with light fingerprint stains. The very last page has some writings but they have faded so not that pronounced. This is one of the best looking Pre-A manuals out there. It has been in my possession for at least 6 years. I always keep the best manuals for myself and this was in my collection, just found a NOS one (not perfect of course but close) so selling this one. Chevrolet UK has announced that in 2008 it managed to increase its market share in the UK by 12.5%, from 0.76% to 0.86%, with total sales for the year of 18,372 cars (which is only a smidge higher than 2007, but the lower total sales for the UK Car market in 2008 meant a significant increase in market share for Chevrolet).
