True Genuine Vintage Circa 1952 Three Panel Color Sales Sales Brochure for Eddie Edmunds HI-Speed Power Equipment." 24% INCREASED HORSEPOWER!" Specific market is the NASH Owners for this Scarce Brochure. Nice Dramatic Engine Graphics on this one! There is only one thing more scarce than finding Edmunds Hi-Compression Aluminum Heads and Dual Intakes and that is the Sales Brochures for them! Extremely Scarce to find. "YOU'LL GET A NEW THRILL OUT OF DRIVING". I know Literature dealers that have several tons of auto paper but they do not have this piece. Excellent Condition. 6 Page Tri- Fold Brochure. Measures 8.5" x 3.75" when folded. Eddie Edmunds was a High Performance Expert that was way ahead of his time back in the early 1950s. Performance Historians will probably debate a lot on the Edmunds Legend which is shrouded in mystery as so little is known. From what little I know, it goes like this. Eddie Edmunds' foresight was not with the racer but with the regular "Joe" who purchased ordinary cars of the time such as Hudson, Packard, Nash, Lincoln, Mercury, Lincoln, Kaiser Frazer and all other Domestic Makes. He wanted to fit brand new cars with his products which basically consisted of three major components of the engine: Dual Carburetors, Hi Compression Heads and Bird Bath Style Air Cleaners to match the carbs. He secured a loan with the Federal Government with which he purchased a large warehouse on Stoner Avenue in Los Angeles. Interesting enough the building is not shown on the back of this brochure and a Valley Stream, Long Island, New York Address is. In addition Edmunds uses "SPEED SPORT INC. Of NEW YORK" on this brochure which is the only time I have seen that on any of the Sales Brochures he put out.. It is rumored that Edmunds employed up to 50 workers during this "Hey Day" and cranked out his products. There are documented photos that show Edmunds standing along stacks of aluminum heads during this time. His wife at the time was a graphic artist who was most likely involved in the production of these Brochures which were quite unusual back then. The sad part of the story is that Edmunds, although ahead of his time, was also out of time. He defaulted on the government loan and went bankrupt. By 1959, he had totally disappeared from the Performance Euipment manufacturing altogether. In fact from 1959-1969 (his death), no one really knows anything about the man. It is particularly sad to note that this was a man that should have enjoyed a dynasty like the Iskendarians and the Edelbrocks, but did not. Many surmise that his products did not meet the quality and/or government specs and others felt that his reported lifestyle of booze and women did him in, or maybe it was a combination of both. It is reported that his inventory was either sold off or melted down for scrap. Today it is extremely scarce to find an Edmunds intake or head. If you do it is usually for large money. Many Speed shops that have them actually use them as wall hangers as opposed to putting them on engines. This particular sales piece specifically markets the stock Nash owners that need to modify their engines for better performance. Very Clever Advertising. Please note that I will be listing several other Edmunds sales brochures that for Ford, Lincoln/Mercury, Kaiser Frazer, Packard, Studebaker, MoPaR etc. I have recently come across what may actually be the best (and perhaps most complete) Edmunds Sales Brochure Collection in existence. I will running each individually to cater to each marque. Edmunds was a creative marketeer as the brochures show. He extensively used bar graphs, color, artist drawings of his products, emotion-filled faces, a B&W Photo of himself, a picture of his factory as well as the Edmunds "Coat of Arms" on almost all of his Brochures. This is a Rare Collectible. A Nice addition to any early Hi-Performance Memorabilia Collection. It is fresh to the market and hasn't been hauled back & forth to Hershey or Carlisle 14 times. Shipping is flat rate envelope for $5.25 anywhere in the U.S.A. Additional will be required for shipping outside the USA. Thanks for checking out our eBay site. 2012 BMW M5 (F10) on track
We had the leak of the 2012 BMW M5 photos, quickly followed by a mammoth photo gallery with more pictures than even the most fervent BMW fan could need. And now it’s the video. And really, until we (and maybe you?) get to see it next week at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, this is as good as it gets.

The facelifted VW Tiguan unveiled in China
Volkswagen does big business in China, and has done for longer than probably any other Western car maker. We recently reported that VW has sold 5 million cars in China over the last 25 years, and that rate of sales is climbing rapidly. So it’s no real surprise that VW has revealed a facelifted Tiguan at this week’s Guangzhou Auto Show in China.

Nearly $2 million worth of vehicles were wrecked in a 14-car crash in Japan on Sunday. The pileup involved eight Ferraris, a Lamborghini, three Mercedes-Benzes and two Toyotas. The fancy car convoy was headed from Kyushu to Hiroshima when the driver of a red Ferrari skidded while switching from the right lane to the left on the rain-soaked expressway.
