You are bidding on a GOLD TONE Hood Support Safety Pin with Flag that WORKS ON ANY 1953 THROUGH 1971 CORVETTE. This should be part of your Corvette preparation at every car show. A local Corvette Club requested I make these for a special awards program after seeing my silver tone ones. These gold tone safety pins/flags really give an extra classy look to your show car. The flag ring, clevis pin, hitch pin and chain are all gold tone metal. This safety device is used to keep the wind, spectators, judges or yourself from accidentally unlatching your hood, resulting in cracked fiber glass from the hood slamming down. Don’t settle for a nut and bolt to secure your hood when you can use this classy looking gold tone set. With the hood up, simply place the ¼ inch clevis pin through the hole that lines up in the hood support. Then place the hitch pin in the clevis pin hole to LOCK it. I use a hitch pin with a large loop to make it easy for insertion and removal. Everything is connected to prevent loss of any parts. The red, high quality embroidered (Remove Before Flight) flag, which has the message sewn on both sides, reminds you to remove it before closing the hood . A small price to pay for protecting your investment. SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR SILVER TONE METAL SET. If you have any questions please e-mail me before bidding. Shipping is $1.75 for First Class mail within  the US or $6.91 for Canada. All include a USPS Tracking Numer. I  combine shipping.

Top Gear filming a road trip in Israel & the Middle East As we said back at the end of September when we reported that Top Gear were busy filming for the next series in New York, this is the time of year when Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May get to travel the world playing at Four-Wheel-Whickers. September was the USA – ending up in NYC – and now the weather’s getting cooler in North America they’ve ventured off to the Middle East. It looks as if Top Gear are busy filming an epic roadtrip across chunks of the Middle East.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Sprint launches

Sun, 06 Feb 2011

The patriotically-painted Alfa Romeo MiTo Sprint Today we have yet another limited edition – the Alfa Romeo MiTo Sprint – which Alfa has ostensibly put together to celebrate its ongoing support of UK Athletics. Which does at least makes a change from following the herd. This year, that would have meant the Alfa MiTo Black.
