New Ford Mustang revealed for 2015: in pictures
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Ford chairman Bill Ford has unveiled the new Ford Mustang at the firm’s Go Further technology workshop in Barcelona. MSN Cars is here reporting live from the event, and far from the unveiling of an irrelevant American muscle car, the new Mustang is actually rather pertinent. That’s because when it goes on sale in 2015, it’ll officially be coming to the UK in right-hand drive guise for the first time, baring some very European engineering features.
Honda readies its jet airplane -- for real this time
Thu, 22 May 2014Honda would like to remind you that while journalists have spent the last few years fretting whether the Big H has "lost its way," the company has quietly launched, shelved, resurrected, and all but waited out its plan to dominate the business-jet skies, which we are to assume are less friendly than United's. The HA-420 HondaJet has been kicking around for more than 10 years now, but the very first production-ready plane just rolled off the assembly line in Greensboro, N.C., this week -- and, Honda promises, the $4.5 million business jet should be delivered in the second quarter of next year. Honda began taking orders for the jet in 2006, but the long recession squashed the market for private jets.
Lotus Evora 414E Range Extender EV moves forward
Sun, 28 Oct 2012The Lotus Evora 414E – a Lotus Engineering range extender hybrid project – is still moving ahead with dynamic and durability testing now underway. On the surface the Evora 414E looked like every other Evora, but under the skin sat the first version of a Lotus range-extender platform with a pair of electric motors and a small, 3-cylinder range-extender engine promising impressive performance and economy. Despite the reveal of the 414E at Geneva in 2010, there’s not been a huge amount of news on Lotus pushing forward with the project, or at least not until we got the Infiniti Emerg-E Concept at Geneva this year that turned out to be underpinned by the Evora 414E platform.
