If you’ve ever restored an old Vette you know that you need proof to show authenticity.  I have used these manuals for various restorations.  Now, its time to pass them on to someone who needs them.

All of these manuals are used.  Some more than others.  Here is a description:

1.     1953 - 1972 Corvette Specifications Guide, NCRS 1st Edition, 1st Printing by John Amgwert et al.  It is in the best condition of the 5 manuals and is intact.  Note that it is spiral bound which indicates a first edition.  Many versions are paperback reproductions.

2.       1968 – 1972 Vette Vues Fact Book by M.F. Dobbins.  It is obvious that I used this book for many years.  This is the 3rd edition.  All printing and photos are still legible and it is in solid shape with exception of a tear on the cover.  It is intact and you will find a little smudge here and there as I have used it extensively.

3.       1968 – 1969 NCRS Judging Manual.  This is First Edition, Third Printing in Fall of 1969.  It is in good condition with no rips or tears or missing pages.

4.       1963 – 1982 Chilton Repair Manual.  Covers U.S. and Canadian models.  It is in good condition with no missing pages.

5.       1965 Corvette Shop Manual Supplement.  Printed in 1964 and copyrighted by General Motors.  Its has some wear and stains but is intact with no missing pages.

The retail value of these 5 manuals is close to $250.00.

Mercedes F800 Style Concept: 2011 Mercedes CLS

Sat, 20 Feb 2010

The Mercedes F800 Concept will be at Geneva and previews the 2011/2012 Mercedes CLS One of the biggest style successes in the car world in the last decade has been the four-door swoopy-coupe. And the whole genre started life – at least in a mainstream way – with the launch of the Mercedes CLS in 1994. It was Mercedes’ return to the ‘Executive Coupe’ market after a ten year gap (the W124 version of the E-Class Coupe) but broke new ground with its four-door configuration in a coupe body.
