Brewster, New York, United States
Parts sold for rebuilding, I do not know their condition, I have no way of knowing if anything is warped or cracked
Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

I have no idea if this is exactly 1953 or not, it was kept by a man who had a 1940 Buick Roadmaster and these were his spare engine parts.  They have been sitting in a shed for 25 years, but were supposed to have been remanufactured, I have no way of knowing that for sure and they need it again anyway.  Bare block, head , crankshaft, and timing cover.  I included the engine block number in the pictures.  I have no way of knowing if there are any cracks, warps, or other non visible problems, they are sold as is for parts, and they are a local pickup item here in Brewster NY 55 miles north of NYC.  I can help you load it with a forklift.

I am getting requests to ship this item to various locations. I do not have a crate, I do not have materials or time or skilled help to make one.  I would be more than willing to place the parts into a crate that you make and ship to me, and hand the crate to whatever trucking company you send for it.

Another eBay member has provided the following about this engine block-70941114

7094111 = sequential number, range started at 6,950,620 for 1953 (last year for Buick straight 8)
4 = Series 40/Special, making it a 263 I8

German courts rule on status of rare Mercedes-Benz 500K roadster

Fri, 01 Jun 2012

The saga of a rare 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K roadster has taken yet another intriguing turn. German courts have ruled that the vehicle is the rightful property of German industrialist Hans Prym's grandchildren because it was illegally seized from Prym in 1945. Frans van Haren can't be too happy with the ruling.

BMW and Pininfarina to show Gran Lusso Coupé concept at Villa d'Este

Wed, 15 May 2013

BMW and Pininfarina have collaborated on a concept car – the Gran Lusso Coupé – for the 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Previewed in these teaser images, the gloriously glamorous-sounding Gran Lusso (lusso being Italian for ‘luxury') appears to fuse BMW iconography – the front fender vent, Hofmeister kink DLO and horizontal rear lamp treatment – with a little more Latin flair with a rocker that flicks up the rear lamp and joins the shoulder line. The full-width rear lamps also promise to be suitably exotic.

Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic gets 281bhp. Debuts at Geneva

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic (pictured) gets 281bhp We’ve been expecting Land Rover to deliver a proper performance version of the Range Rover Evoque, even more so with the arrival of the impressively performing Porsche Macan. But if this new Evoque – the Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic – is the ultimate  performance version of the Evoque it’s not going to stand up on-road to the new Macan, even if it does look a lot better. Still, extra power and more goodies is never a bad thing, so an Evoque with 281bhp and more equipment is not to be sniffed at, even if it’s likely to cost £50k or more.
