True Genuine Vintage Circa 1953 A NEW AMERICAN SPORTS CAR THE SKYLINE X-50 with Retractable Roof Sales Brochure. Orange. Excellent Condition. 4 Pages with stapled Postage Inquiry Card attached. Measures 8" x 5.5". Extremely Scarce to find. Specs on back page. From Skyline Incorporated in Jamaica, New York. Styling was based upon a cut down version of the Henry J. No Dashboard display -all controls were on the front of the floor console which allowed for a leathered covered foam dashboard touted for safety reasons. Cost was under $3,000. I do not believe that production ever "got off the ground" on this aircraft influenced vehicle. Still in makes for one extremely scarce sales brochure to own. I have not seen another for sale in quite some time. Most Auto Literature dealers want this price just for the attached postcard! Non dated. Great Graphics. It is fresh to the market and hasn't been hauled back & forth to Hershey or Carlisle 14 times. Shipping is flat rate envelope for $5.25 anywhere in the U.S.A. At its heart, the 450kg RP1 has a unique carbon-composite tub based on the designs of contemporary race cars. The driver will sit 'feet up', allowing for greater underfloor downforce, which goes some way to explaining how the car achieves a quoted 200kg of downforce at 100mph.
