Up for auction is a "Master Guide Power Steering" horn ring for a 1954 ford car. Also included is the center section for a 1955 ford horn ring. The bottom part of the 54 can be cut off and welded to the 55 part. Those of you looking for this will know what I am referring to. The chrome is not terrible, but will need redone after welding, unless you are using the 54 ring for a 1954. There are some pits on the center section where the medallion is, but nothing really deep. I polished for a minute just to clean up some areas to see what was underneath the crud. These horn rings are getting pretty dang tough to come by. If you have any questions, please ask. I will be happy to answer!

Concept Car of the Week: Chevrolet Astro (1967)

Fri, 29 Mar 2013

It gave its name to a boxy van in the 80s, but the Chevrolet Astro I was one of the most exciting dream cars developed within the GM styling studio. Presented in New York Auto Show in 1967, it was the first of three Astro concepts shown in annual succession and illustrates GM's desire to develop models that were both aerodynamic and attractive. What we might take for granted in aerodynamics nowadays was almost untouched territory in the mid ‘60s.

Lamborghini LP560-4 Superleggera coming?

Fri, 18 Sep 2009

What appears to be a Lamborhgini LP560-4 Superleggera out testing But if the photo above is anything to go by it looks as if Lamborghini is planning a Superleggera version of the LP560-4 sooner rather than later. Which would work out pretty well for Lamborghini as they have rashly declared that they will deliver a new car at every road show, and with the replacement for the Murcielago cars – LP640/LP650-4/LP670-4 – still some way off, this could be a  good solution. They’ve run out of new cars for shows after revealing the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster this week at Frankfurt, so they need to get a bit of a hustle on before the next major show if they’re going to keep their promise.
