Offered is a front seat base with adjuster mechanism removed from a 1954 2-door Mercury.

For parts or repair.

Listed as local pick-up only but will work with buyer to ship.  actual shipping, no extra... will refund any overage in the event there is.

Needs work but main structure looks quite serviceable.

Last few inches of the bases are pitted   (need a good sand blasting)

Both sides slide ...catches pivot.

Short catch springs  (L & R) work but could use replacement.  (see last photo...short spring on left)

Not sure if the driver's side came with a long main spring or not..... thinking  maybe the driver served as the force  (?)  ...passenger's side has the long spring ( again see last photo...long spring on right)

Bolts will need heat / removal / replacement.  The seat was a sitting on a large wooden base so that may explain the long carriage type bolts seen in the photos.  (One is broken off  - 3 remain)

two wire (release ?) rods in pic 11. not sure where these fit in. (?)

More / better photos upon request

Will do my best to answer any question or concerns and thank you for looking...

Thu, 02 Sep 2010

A larger standard engine and more seating capacity are the big changes for the 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup. For starters, all 2011 Raptors will come standard with a 6.2-liter V8, rated at 411 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque. The 6.2-liter engine was an option on the 2010 Raptor, while a 320-ho 5.4-liter V8 was the base engine.

This summer has been a big one for fans of limited-production British automakers. First, we heard that TVR has returned, or is at least planning to return, with production expected to resume in 2015. Now we're getting word that Lister Motor Co., which built the remarkable Lister “Knobbly” Jaguar cars, is getting a new lease on life.

Mercedes 300SL Gullwing – the return

Sat, 09 May 2009

Gullwing GmbH are to create a faithful reproduction of the iconic Mercedes 300SL Gullwing The 1950s Mercedes 300SL Gullwing is an iconic car. Remembered affectionately by those old enough to remember it first time round (which I actually don’t!) and associated in the minds of car nuts with Sir Stirling Moss and his exploits in the Mille Miglia (it seems every classic Gullwing that comes on the market is somehow miraculously ‘Driven by Stirling Moss’), it is the epitome of ‘Cool Car’. The huge appeal of the classic Gullwing is also responsible for the direction of the new Mercedes SLS, which pays huge homage to the design of the original.
