This is an original air cooled automatic transmission control splash shield, Ford part # B5S 7779-A. This shield is uniquely Thunderbirdand was used on all 1955 Thunderbirds as well as all 1956 Thunderbird which had an air cooled automatic transmission. This shield is often missing and discarded when the transmission was worked on. This shield has been glass beaded and given one coat of red oxide primer. Land Rover Defender to return to U.S.
Mon, 15 Oct 2012Land Rover will bring the redesigned Defender SUV to the United States as its entry-level vehicle, said Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover. The Defender could debut as early as 2015 and will be based on the DC100 concept shown at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show. The rugged Defender is currently sold in overseas markets and was last sold here in 1997.
A14 expansion 'could break emissions laws'
Wed, 16 Oct 2013PLANS for tackling congestion on a busy A-road could leave the Government in breach of legal limits for air pollution, according to the Campaign for Better Transport (CBT). The CBT is warning that the Government's £1.5 billion A14 corridor in East Anglia would not only significantly worsen air pollution across a wide area; it could actually push a number of locations above current EU legal limits. The Government's proposal to tackle congestion within the A14 corridor includes widening parts of the A14 and the A1 and building a new dual carriageway around Huntingdon.
