Chevy Chevrolet 1955 1956 1957  61 Power Glide automatic bell housing adapter for 283 and 265 V-8 motor. Complete with the usually missing cover plates. These are now very hard to find, especially complete. May fit other years of 283
 
Nice 55-61 Chevrolet iron PowerGlide adapter plate for a V8 engine. Has the shroud plate on it with the screws. Nothing broken.
 
For sale is this used 1956 to 1961 Chevy and Corvette original V-8 part # 3733293 GM6 Power Glide PG transmission adapter.  Made of cast iron.  This transmission adapter was on a SBC.   This works on 56-61 Chevrolet passenger cars, and 56-61 Corvettes.  All with power glide transmission.

Rain doesn't dampen spirits at Orphan Car Show

With rain falling as the show cars arrived, organizers worried that moving the 15th-annual Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show from its original June weekend to late September wasn't going to work out after all. It was rescheduled last year after heavy rain in June and participants voted to make the change permanent. Fortunately, the rain blew over before the gates opened to spectators and Sunday turned out to be as nice a day as Saturday, when more than 30 entrants enjoyed a tour to view the extensive Nash collection that Ken and Mary Ann Havekost have accumulated in Monroe, Mich.
