Offered is a new old stock Carter ceramic 40 micron "blue tint" gas filter element as found on many 1955-1961 GM vehicles using the Carter "shorty" fuel filter assembly.


The Carter part number was either a 3081 or 3082 depending if it was serviced with or without the gasket. This offering is for the filter ceramic element ONLY.

The top of the filter is 1.5"......bottom is 1.25"......height 1".  Assemblies may have varied over the years so PLEASE confirm you needs prior to purchase.

The letter C for Carter can be seen cast into the part. A genuine "Made in USA" old stock part.

It was "bulk" stored at Carter and no packaging is included.

In January 2012, the perfect companion piece to that $4.6 million horseless carriage is being sold--a 1894 Roper Steam-Powered Runabout motorbike. The Roper bike is the second of two built by Sylvester Roper of Roxbury, Mass., and is regarded as one of the world's oldest, predating the earliest Orient, Indian and Harley-Davidsons.

Audi finally release details of their new 'Mini' - The Audi A1 We said only yesterday that we weren’t going to run another story on the new Audi A1 until we got some proper meat. Audi has dragged out the reveal of the A1 – from original concept 2 years ago to the endless recent teases – so much we just felt there was nothing more worth saying.
