Beautiful chrome finish almost blemish free (see photos for detail), believe it is original manufactures finish. Dates, 1955-56, are consistent with part number on the base and I believe they were always together. If you believe this is incorrect let us know and it will be corrected. Mounting bracket and set screw came apart with no trouble and both look good. Just need to have mirror cut to fit. Additional photos on request, questions welcome.

Lexus LF-LC Blue concept unveiled in Australia

Lexus has unveiled a new take on the LF-LC concept—dubbed the LF-LC Blue—at the Australian motor show. The LF-LC Blue builds on the dramatic LF-LC coupe concept that debuted at the 2012 Detroit auto show, featuring the same wildly sculpted aluminum and carbon-fiber body. Lexus is calling concept's color Opal blue, a reference to the iridescent gemstones found in Australia.

Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy, is collaborating with the Volkswagen Group to create the third installment of its Masters Degree in Transportation & Automobile Design. The course, which will run for 15 months, will be open to 25 graduates. The deadline for applications is 23 May 2011.

The Renault Laguna Coupe Monaco GP Special Edition We were going to report that Renault were releasing the Laguna Coupe Monaco GP Special Edition a week or so ago, but we actually thought it was a France-only model. Not that that is necessarily a reason not to run a story, but a France-only car – from a not exactly top-selling model – from a French car maker maker meant that the story would probably have been of interest to a limited number. But Renault have decided that the slightly odd looking Renault Laguna Coupe will be available as the Monaco GP Special Edition this side of the Channel as well, so best we give you the gen.
