S/H and Payment

Buyer to pay a Shipping and Handling fee as stated under the "Shipping and payment" tab above.

International Buyers – Please Note:
Import duties, taxes, broker charges and the like are NOT included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your customs broker or your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
Also, we will not undervalue your parcel, so please do not ask us to do this. Such requests will be ignored.

FYI, the proper Harmonized Tariff code for this product is 9026.10.8990 - Liquid Level measuring devices, which carries a zero percent import duty in most countries; however, small parcels usually get misclassified at a higher, "General" rate.

We will get your package out quickly, but once it enters the postal system, it is totally out of our control.
Although the Post Office may give estimated delivery times, in some cases it may take many additional weeks for transport.

Be aware that First Class Mail cannot be tracked.
If you want to have your parcel trackable, you need to opt for a higher (and significantly more expensive) shipping service such as Priority Mail or UPS for US destinations, or Express Mail for non-US destinations.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex and PayPal eCheck (Held until cleared before shipping merchandise.)
RI residents or pick-ups must add 7% RI Sales Tax.
To ensure the fastest processing, pay us securely through PayPal immediately after you receive eBay's purchase confirmation.

IMPORTANT: We will ONLY ship to the PayPal specified address on your PayPal payment. If you want your item sent to a different address, this address must be added to your PayPal account (as a secondary address) before making payment; then select this address when payment is made.
Combined S/H Discounts

We are happy to save you money by combining your purchases of different products into a single transaction; but be aware, the savings primarily come from reduced processing and paperwork, not so much the actual postage savings. Ebay does not do this automatically, so to benefit from these savings, you must strictly adhere to the following:
  1. All purchases are within a 5 day period, and
  2. Paid from a single invoice sent by us to you, and
  3. Paid in full with a single PayPal payment.
  4. No exceptions.
Therefore, if you are making multiple purchases, do not checkout and do not pay for anything until you are finished buying. Then request a "combined invoice with discounted S/H" for all of your purchased items.
Email may take several business days to be answered -- Please be patient and plan accordingly.
For an immediate response, phone us at 1-401-725-5000 Mon-Fri.
NOS Locators' Commitment

NOS Locators has been serving the Classic Car community for over 35 years. We are respected and trusted throughout the world. We are located in a commercial building, fully staffed M-F, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Time. Some staff members may stay later or come in at other times, so if you need to call us, please try, but after 6:00 PM and on weekends, it is a "catch as catch can" situation.

Our goal is to earn a 5-star rating in each category for each transaction, and everybody here works very hard toward deserving this. If you are satisfied with your products and this transaction, we would really appreciate all 5-star ratings if you can honestly justify this. This will allow us to continue to serve you and the rest of the eBay community in the future and keep our prices low. And if we should screw up, please give us the "benefit of the doubt" and a chance to fix it or make it up to you either directly or in some other way. There are penalties for not maintaining high ratings which eBay restricts us from publicly disclosing; however, it should be obvious that increased selling costs ultimately result in increased buyer's costs.

As you can see from the comments from our more than 30,000 eBay transactions, we are an honest and honorable professional organization. If there is anything you object to regarding our policies, prices, products, S/H rates or time frames, please phone or email us. If you are not 100% agreeable with our policies and prices, please DO NOT BUY FROM US. But if you do buy from us, we expect you to likewise be honorable and judge us on how well we fulfill our stated policies.

The two biggest complaints you will find in other sellers' feedback (other than outright fraud), are inflated S/H Rates and Lengthy Shipping Times.
  • Our S/H rates are carefully calculated to be fair and reasonable. If you object to our S/H charges on any product, DO NOT BUY FROM US; but if you do buy from us, and we do not charge you more than we stated, then we deserve 5 stars in the "Shipping and handling charges" DSR. This is especially true if you buy multiple products but do NOT request a "combined invoice with discounted S/H" since each item is priced for individual shipment.

  • If you object to our Shipping Times and think getting your order out within a day or two (or maybe another day or so for foreign orders with customs declarations), is too long, DO NOT BUY FROM US; but if you do buy from us, and we get your order out within this time frame, then we deserve 5 stars in the "Shipping Time" DSR, regardless of how long the carrier takes to deliver the parcel to you. It's "Shipping Time", NOT "Delivery Time". Be aware that you can always phone us at 401-725-5000 and speak to a "real" person if you need something shipped out quicker.
Lastly, but most importantly, by monitoring our feedback continually, we can determine if a buyer leaves us unjustified low grades. If this is the case, we will block that buyer from future purchases. There are people in cyberspace who have unrealistic expectations or are not very honorable. If you are one of them and do us an injustice, you won't get a second chance.
Regarding Buyer Feedback, we've arranged with a private company to automatically generate buyer feedback and spend this saved time on the "operations" end of an eBay transaction. The buyer's feedback is automatically left as soon as the buyer leaves positive feedback for us.

If after giving us feedback, you do not receive your feedback after seven days, please contact us. Internet glitches sometimes cause this third party service not to work 100% of the time.

Be sure to include the listing number on ALL correspondence and checks.

Mark Adams on the Past, Present and Future of Opel Design

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Back in 1938, GM showed the world's first concept car: Harley Earl's Buick Y-Job. Twenty-six years later, GM's Opel division became the first mainstream carmaker to design and build a concept in Europe. That car was the Opel Experimental GT, designed in 1964 and launched at the Frankfurt motor show in 1965.

Hyundai i30 SR – a taste of Sporty Hyundai

Fri, 19 Oct 2012

Hyundai in Australia has revealed the Hyundai i30 SR, an i30 with a 2.0 litre petrol engine and a sportier edge. Hyundai in the UK defaults to its diesel engine offerings across almost its entire range, with the Golf challenging i30 offering only a 1.4 litre petrol with a very modest 98bhp apart from the diesel offerings. But Hyundai in Australia marches to its own beat and has rather bigger ambitions for the brand than Hyundai exhibit in most of the rest of the world, with thoughts about a Hyundai ‘Genesis’ luxury brand (although that seems to have come to nought so far) and their very own ‘Sporty’ take for the Hyundai range in the ‘SR’ model.

Ferrari FF Revealed

Fri, 21 Jan 2011

The Ferrari FF - the 612 replacement will debut at Geneva   We’ve been wondering for a few weeks what exactly Ferrari were doing with the 612 Scaglietti. We were hearing conflicting stories about the direction Ferrari were heading, ranging from a Shooting Brake version of the current 612 to an all new Ferrari range-topper with a big, new V12 – and a Shooting Brake design. And it turns out the latter is the case – welcome to the Ferrari FF.
