Please read the complete description and look at all the pictures after the description, to avoid asking unnecessary questions, and to avoid any problems upon receipt of this item. Please don't hesitate to ask questions if there is something I haven't mentioned, or if you're unsure of something. In addition, please disregard Ebay's definitions of condition descriptions, and go by my description of this item.
This is an original 2 speed electric windshield wiper motor that I believe fits 1955-1957 Chevy and GMC truck and Suburban. The part number is 5047989. Please do your own research before bidding to confirm that this will work for your application. It will NOT fit a passenger car or Corvette, as it mounts differently. This motor is pretty clean, but it's missing the arm that the linkage hooks up to. In addition, the power wire is broken off right where it comes out, and will need to be repaired. This repair requires taking the motor apart. It sounds easy enough, but I tried it once, and springs went flying, and I couldn't get it back together right. In other words, unless you know what you're doing, I don't recommend trying to fix this yourself. I've bench tested this motor and it works good on both speeds.
After the pictures, you can click on the video icon and wait a few seconds to see and hear a short video of it working.
I'm selling this motor as-is, but will guarantee it to be received as described.
Please note that due to new Ebay and PayPal policies for 2011, I must now charge and collect sales tax on items sold to buyers with shipping addresses here in the state of California. The tax rate here in Riverside CA is 8.0%, so if you live here in CA, when bidding, please bear in mind that that's an extra 80 cents you will have to pay on every $10.
All items are packed in new boxes that are big enough to allow room for plenty of padding of bubble wrap and peanuts. I guarantee you will NOT receive a damaged item (like many that I have bought). Buyer pays $11.00 for well packed USPS Priority Mail shipping with delivery confirmation. I ship within 1 working day of receipt of payment, and give the buyer the tracking number then too. PayPal payment is expected within 5 days of the end of the auction. Check my feedback and feel confident that this item will arrive undamaged.
Sorry, but due to past problems with the U.S. and foreign post offices, absolutely no shipping outside the USA. If you are outside the U.S., but have a U.S. address that I can ship to, please e-mail me and I will put you on my buyer block exemption list so that you may bid.
I always have and always will resolve any problem that arises. Please be sure to contact me if there is any problem, as I can't resolve a problem if I don't know about it. Thanks!

Bentley plug-in hybrid confirmed – but not for the ‘Green’
Tue, 30 Aug 2011The very best sort of 'Green Bentley' To be entirely fair to Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer, he hasn’t said that Bentley are planning a hybrid for reasons other than a green halo, but it seems very likely that’s the case. Especially as they are planning a plug-in Bentley. So what other reason could Bentley have for offering a plug-in hybrid other than to be ‘Green’?
