Condition:Used

You are bidding on a 1955/6/7 Chevy modified 4 barrel air cleaner. Nice cool rat rod item. I've had this for years. The hot rodder that had this decades ago sawed off the snout. Must have figured his Tri 5 would breath a little easier. This fits a Carter WCFB 4 barrel. The element is real nice. The base had a small ding in it that I pounded out. The lid is real clean not inside and out. It's diameter is 13 inches. Text questions to 815 289 9159.

Concept Car of the Week: GM-X Stiletto (1964)

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

With dreams of flying cars as the ultimate inspiration, General Motors designers in the ‘60s used every trick possible to make their creations appear as though they were floating – long, straight bodies, wheels pushed in and hidden away, large fins and lights that looked like rockets. As William L. Mitchell took the reins of GM Design, he brought a more high-tech approach, with simpler surfaces, a more restrained use of chrome and a general sense of elegant simplicity.

It’s now Land Rover’s turn for a high-tech new 4x4 family, and it kicks off with the new Land Rover Freelander. Except, as CAR reported earlier in 2013, the Freelander replacement will bin that name – and, hopes Land Rover, the moniker’s poor reliability connotations.

Armored Škoda Superb from SVOS has a few tricks up its sleeve

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

We've all read about armored BMW and Mercedes-Benz cars, and a few of us can even spot them in traffic, but there are plenty of armored options for slightly less flash transportation. Large German sedans make great platforms for armoring, and are one of the most popular choices in countries where there is a need for that sort of thing, but they're far from being the only sedans that can offer security-minded customers the relative peace of mind that comes with ownership of such a car. Besides, if you need to travel discreetly, a Mercedes-Benz S-class isn't always the best option -- which is why armoring companies will gladly modify less-obvious cars like the new Škoda Superb.
