Excellent used and repaired LH front fender for 1955-6 Oldsmobile. It was good to start with, thanks to our dry desert climate here in the sunny sagebrush country of SE Washington State, but it did have the usual rust-out in the rear lower corner. Previous owner has stripped the fender and fixed this fault with new metal, as shown, including replacing the cut rear fender brace. The rear lower bracket, as shown, is wired on. This fender has very few dings, which have been bondo'ed. Some original paint remains on the underside, plus some bright orange flash rust from being left out during a rain shower -- no big thing, would easily clean off. This fender is VERY straight and true, and the patch is well done, but needs clean-up grinding and probably minimal filling. The mounting points are all very nice, including the stud in the rear brace. You'd look long and hard for another fender this nice. Sat, 11 May 2013The Pikes Peak hillclimb is an awesome event with more than 150 turns on a course more than 12 miles long running up in to the clouds at the summit of Pikes Peak Mountain. This year Peugeot are back to take on Pikes Peak in a car they like to describe as a Peugeot 208, but apart from the name it has nothing much more than a passing resemblance to Peugeot’s latest hatchback. For a start, it has a 3.2 litre twin-turbo V6 that delivers an incredible 875bhp which is enough to get to 62mph in a neck snapping 1.8 seconds and 150mph in an equally unbelievable 7 seconds.

Insurance company Direct Line wanted to answer that age-old question, and gathered 50 experienced drivers and put them through the standard driving test to find out. The result was that more than three quarters of them failed, with those that did recording an average of three serious or dangerous faults, with one participant committing 10 major faults.
