DISPLACEMENT: 265 CU. IN. H.P. RATING: 170 bhp @ 4400 R.P.M. ORIG. PRICE: $2,571 Nomads, based on a GM "dream car," were pioneers in the sporty station wagon field. They were styled like hardtops. The '55 model belonged to a new generation of Chevrolets which introduced overhead valve V-8 engines and modernized post-war looks to America's best-selling brand of automobile. Nomad production for 1955 was a low 8,386 cars.
