1955 Chevrolet Signal Seeker (Wonder Bar) Radio. Model 987086. The radio was rebuilt with: all wax/paper capacitors replaced along with the filter capacitors, replacement of out-of-spec tubes and resistors, solid state vibrator, dual diode OZ4, the tuner was cleaned and lubed, re-coned speaker, and new speaker boot (sponge rubber). The case is clean with no rust, the top and bottom covers were bead blasted and refinished. The chrome bezel and push buttons have pitting, see picture. All controls work properly (volume/tone and ON/OFF switch), manual tuning, push buttons, and the signal seeker (wonder bar). The radio was bench tested and plays fine. Pick-ups do poorly in latest Euro NCAP tests

Only three picks-ups were tested, but they achieved some appalling results, with the Nissan Navara registering just one star for adult crash protection. Pick-up registrations increased by 7.2 percent in Europe last year and are increasingly being used as family transport.
