A vary original & vintage glove box door emblem removed from a 1955 Ford.

 Very restorable!

This is not a reproduction, this is the real deal!

It's a bit dirty from sitting in storage for a couple years, but will clean up nicely.

Jaguar XJ 3.0 TDV6 Long Term Test (2010): The Intro

Sun, 31 Oct 2010

Our long-term XJ joins last week's review car - the XF S We moaned about the tease that was the introduction to the new Jaguar XJ, but we dutifully went off to the press launch at the Saatchi Gallery in July 2009 and declared the design a triumph. We looked forward to the promised press cars by Christmas 2009, but they never happened as Jaguar worked to make the new XJ as bullet-proof as a car can be. But by the end of May 2010 the first press cars started to arrive and the first customer cars escaped in to the wild.

Toyota C-HR Concept revealed as a funky urban crossover

Toyota C-HR Concept revealed as a funky urban crossover Last week we had a tease for the Toyota C-HR Concept and now, with its debut just over a week away at the Paris Motor Show, Toyota has revealed the first couple of photos. Likely based on the Auris – and arriving in 2015 as the Toyota Auris Cross – the C-HR Concept is a funky, high-riding urban crossover aimed at the burgeoning crossover market and destined to slot in below the RAV-4. What the C-HR Concept also does is preview a more cutting-edge design language from Toyota with shallow headlights merging in to the front grill, vertical running lights, big haunches, oversized wheels (which are unlikely to make production) and boomerang-shaped LED tail lights.

First BMW i8 Hybrids delivered to customers – complete with Laser Lights

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

The first BMW i8s delivered in Germany The new BMW i8 hybrid supercar was finally revealed in production guise at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and by the time it went in to production the whole of the 2014 run of i8s was sold out. Apart from its innovative plug-in hybrid powertrain, the i8 offers many new technologies, one of which is a set of laser lights which deliver a much brighter main beam than LED and looked set to be the first time such lights have appeared on a production car. But Audi tried to upset BMW’s applecart by revealing the R8 LMX last month, which also came with laser lights, and looked set to arrive with customers before the i8.
