YOU ARE VIEWING A    1955 PONTIAC CHIEFTAIN STEERING WHEEL NOS?  IN   VERY GOOD  CONDITION. We believe this to be NOS as it doesn't look to have been mounted on a car. Very nice condition. The ribbing on the underneath of the wheel is all spaced with no ware down. It has one crack/line on the hub [center] when holding it left bottom part where there is a little chip in the round part at the hub. The horn ring [not included we don't have one] should cover this so not to be seen. The crack/line might buff out? There is a mar or maybe paint rub on the top of the hub so maybe a little touch up of paint is required. It does have some shelf ware [rub/scratches all should be fixable] as its been sitting a long time All in all its really good and rare to find in this condition. Remember its 59 years old.  HARD TO FIND ITEM . PLEASE EMAIL QUESTIONS. PLEASE read our terms & conditions: We do our best to describe our items with the correct year and make when we are sure what they fit. GM recalls nearly 15,000 Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala sedans

Fri, 12 Aug 2011

General Motors is recalling about 15,000 vehicles to fix two problems--reprogramming the electronic stability control in some 2012 Buick LaCrosse cars and rerouting the power-steering hose on the 2012 Chevrolet Impala. The automaker is recalling 10,344 Impalas to reroute the upper power-steering house that could fail because of heat from the catalytic converter. As a result, the hose sprays fluid over the catalytic converter, causing smoke and potential fire.

SAIC wins LA Auto Show Design Challenge

Fri, 29 Nov 2013

China's SAIC, the parent company of Roewe and MG brands (yes, Morris Garages and what used to be Rover), took the top spot in the LA Auto Show Design challenge with its Mobiliant Concept, beating other contestants like BMW DesignworksUSA, Subaru, Mazda, Changfeng, Quoros, and others. The theme for this year's challenge at the LA Auto Show was "Biomimicry & Mobility 2025: Nature's Answer to Human Challenges." Entrants were directed to propose design concepts that integrated the concept of biomimicry into transportation concepts. Quite a challenge and quite an open theme, especially when you consider that last year's theme was pretty straightforward: "Highway Patrol Vehicles in the Year 2025." In 2012 the Subaru SHARC concept took the top prize.
