I am selling brand new NOS 1955 and 1956 Chevrolet and Canadian Pontiac rear wheel (axle) bearings GM # 3729375 / RW507ER.

These are the rare bearings ( p/n 3729375 ) that GM only used for two years and have long been discontinued.

These bearings fit ALL 1955 and 1956 Chevrolet car models and 1956 Corvettes.

These are high quality MBS bearings, not cheap Chinese replacements.

These bearings were also used on ST4 Snow Cats.

These bearings are heavy duty (higher load capacity) bearings, identifiable by the double o-ring outer seals ,with 9 ball construction not like regular replacement 8 ball construction style bearings

They are totally sealed bearings (have inner and outer seals) to keep differential wear particles from damaging the rolling surfaces.

Axles commonly have a diameter variation of .001 - .002" at the bearing surface. I will measure the ID of these bearings identifying any manufacturing tolerance variation so that you can selective fit these to your axles for optimum press fit.

Being a vintage mechanical component sold without warrantee as correct installation and useage can not be confirmed.

I have two bearings available (two bearings required per car).

Being sold individually (as a quantity of one).

I will combine shipping for multiple bearing purchases.

No Reserve - one bid and this premium construction high load capacity bearing could be yours !

A heavy key chain may deactivate the airbags in your Chevy Cobalt or Pontiac G5

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

GM is recalling 788,000 Cobalt and Pontiac G5 sedans for a potentially deadly problem with the ignition system. When the vehicles' keys are connected to heavy key chains (or, say, key rings laden with a dozen extra keys), a sufficiently extreme jolt or impact could shift the ignition out of the "run" position and into the "off" position. Cuts electrical power to the vehicles' systems, in turn deactivating the airbags.

This selection comes from Autoweek Competition Press from January 1963, featuring a lead story on the reveal of Ferrari's at-the-time latest--a 1.5-liter, flat 12-cylinder engine designed for Formula One applications. Its speculated output was 225 hp. Ferrari also pulled the covers off the latest 2+2 touring car, the 330 GT, the successor to the famed 250GT.
