BMW to supply Toyota with 1.6 & 2.0 litre diesel engines.

Toyotas to get BMW diesel engines in Europe It has been announced that BMW are to supply Toyota with 1.6 and 2.0 litre diesel engines for Toyota cars in Europe from 2014. Last week we revealed that BMW and Toyota were discussing swapping engines and hybrid technology in an effort to cut costs and improve products. Lincoln Quicksilver Ghia concept heads to auction

Next week at the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee, Fla., bidders will get a chance to take home something truly unique, a Lincoln Quicksilver concept car created by Carrozzeria Ghia in 1983. This radical concept was created at a time when Ghia was a division of the Ford Motor Company. The concept itself debuted in one place where the Lincoln brand was, ahem, somewhat underappreciated: the Geneva Auto Show.

Once a symbol of America's most luxurious automobiles, Cadillac's image had begun to wane by the mid-1980s, and not even the Pininfarina-designed and built two-seater Allante was enough to excavate the brand's long gone leadership. In an effort to take Cadillac onto the global stage, engineers and the team of designers led by Chuck Jordan began working on the Voyage concept, a rolling laboratory with visionary styling and innovative technology. It was unveiled in 1988 at a technological exhibition in New York thus highlighting that rather than a stylist's dream come true, it was a very serious study towards aerodynamic, performance, handling, comfort and efficiency in an age when automated superhighways would allow fast, safe inter-State travel.
