Up for auction is a GM original 265 cubic inch 4 barrel V8 engine for a 1956 Chevrolet passenger car. The numbers matching engine was removed from a very low mileage '56 in 1971. This auction is for exactly what is pictured. The engine turns freely and was never seized up. The casting date on the Towanda (FB) block is June of 1956. This motor is NOT correct for a '56 Corvette. All '56 Corvettes were Flint, Michigan produced blocks. This GM factory optional motor will need rebuilt; but when completed it will add significant dollar value to your '56 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible, Nomad, or Hardtop. If you or your restoring shop have questions;  feel free to email me before you bid. USA bidders only! PLEASE NOTE: Pick up could be arranged during the Fall Hershey or Fall Carlisle swap meets in October.

Need other items for your '55-'56-'57 Chevy or 1955-1959 Chevy truck? I have 1000's of parts including many other '55-'57 original Chevrolet V8 engines; so feel free to contact me.

Shipping via USPS Mail will be supplied to the winning bidder. US bidders only and payment is expected within 3 days of auction end.
