1956 265 CI. SMALL BLOCK (469)

FOR CHEVROLET CORVETTE

“The compression ratio got a boost for the second year in a row. The dual quads sat on an aluminum intake manifold and made 225 hp. Without RPO 469, you had to settle for about 205 ponies. This was Chevy’s first performance optional equipment”

“AN EXPERTLY DESIGNED ENGINE IS A WORK OF ART”

By Illustrator David Kimble, this highly detailed artwork was done entirely by hand with fine-line inking by pencil drawings, then airbrushed to include details such as shadows, valve adjustments, and part number stampings on the see-through drawing. PROFESSIONALLY PRINTED, not photo copied like other you may see at only 4x6 or 5x7 measurements with Wal-Mart frames or just the picture alone!!

Produced on quality, 100 lb. 12”x12” gloss stock, this professional lithograph allows YOU the choose of how you wish to mount it! In a frame, on black foam-board or with contrasting colors matte boarders, it’ll look great. Features the engine type above the picture and engine characteristics below. This represents the engines from “back-in-the day” factory installations. Original bolt head markings along with part numbers appear just the way they left the factory. The photo with the foam board mounting is for presentation only. The lithograph will be shipped safely in a postage tube container.

A high quality item would look great hanging in the room or area of your choice.

New Mercedes A Class to spawn electric version made by Tesla

Sun, 20 May 2012

New Mercedes A Class EV on the way via Tesla It would appear that Mercedes-Benz are planning an electric version of the new Mercedes A Class with a powertrain by Tesla. The new Mercedes A Class arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March as the Mercedes answer to the BMW 1 Series, and a very convincing new A Class it looks too. From an entry-level A Class which will get a Renault 1.5 litre dCi lump to deliver a sub-99g/km model all the way up (eventually) to a 4WD, 300bhp AMG A Class, it looks like the new A Class will cover the bases for every buyer, and then some.

Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe revealed ahead of China auto show

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

Mercedes-Benz is previewing its eagerly anticipated CLA sedan at an event in Los Angeles this week before providing a more detailed look at the Beijing motor show with the unveiling of the latest in a long line of concept cars, the 2.0-liter, 208-hp, four-cylinder-powered Concept Style Coupe. Pictured here officially for the first time, the heavily sculptured four-door reveals the dramatic appearance that the next junior Mercedes-Benz sedan will carry into North American showrooms in 2013. Advancing the look first established on the F800 Style concept wheeled out at the 2010 Geneva motor show, the Concept Style Coupe is clothed in a four-door body that makes extensive use of concave and convex surfaces to provide its exterior with what Mercedes-Benz design boss Gorden Wagener describes as “an almost fluid appearance and constantly altering depth.” The car has a large gaping grille known to insiders as a soft-nose treatment, striking headlamps with LED graphics, a heavily curved roofline, a shallow glasshouse, a high waistline, frameless doors and a trio of sharply creased lines along its flanks.
