This is an original 1956 Thunderbird all STEEL rear continental spare tire gravel or stone guard with new seal kit installed. This gravel guard is uniquely Thunderbird and was used on all 1956 Thunderbirds from the factory. The bracket on the backside mounts to the continental hinge and pivots with the hinge when the spare tire is lowered. A set of new edge seals was also installed. The former owner applied chip guard to the underside of the guard before painting it colonial white. These steel stone guards have been obsolete from Ford Motor Company for nearly 50 years. The reproductions are fiberglass. Perfect for replacing a missing, damaged or fiberglass stone guard with a steel original. See my eBay Store for more Ford,Thunderbird, Lincoln and Mercury parts. Fri, 12 Aug 20112012 Honda Civic - cleaner, greener, more powerful & more economical Honda are taking the launch of the new Civic for 2012 properly seriously, and looking to make it a properly good alternative to stuff like the Focus and Golf. That means the 2012 Honda Civic is going to have to handle properly as well as being very well put together. And on that score Honda are promising improved ride and handling for the 2012 Civic (despite a less than cutting-edge suspension at the back) and say it will be more stable and precise. Which all sounds good.
BMW 7-series models hit by recall
Mon, 29 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall of 45,500 BMW 7-series sedans in the 2005-2008 model year range. The recall, which has its origins in a NHTSA investigation initiated in August 2011, addresses a software malfunction that may cause vehicles to roll away when parked. A glitch in the BMW Comfort Access keyless-entry and ignition system is responsible for the problem.

Thu, 10 Jan 2013Details and pictures of the new Lexus IS saloon have been revealed ahead of the car's full debut next week in Detroit. Previewed back in September at the Paris motor show with the LF-CC concept, the IS features the carmaker's signature spindle grille and L-shaped Daytime Running Lights (DRL). The IS also retains the prominent character line that rises from the lower body into the rear lamp clusters and also features another that runs underneath the windows.
