This is Field Coil Assembly for quite a few 1957-1958 MOPAR Starters.  Specifically acquired by us for our 1957 DeSoto Hemi engines, it applies to DeSoto FireDome and FireFlite engines as well as 1957/58 Chrysler/Imperial using model MDL6001/MDL6002/MDT6003 starters.  We took this coil winding set to my best local starter/generator rebuild shop for more positive identification.  At first we thought that the MDL1005S was the starter number but found that it is actually the correct part number for just the field winding.  The originals a appear to have been made for MOPAR by AutoLite but we have found listings for the same applications also by others such as Prestolite 3412.
  These starters are rather difficult to find, so likely you will need to rebuild your original and this is a great condition like new field coil for your rebuild.  Carefully check your application before bidding.  These I have seen listed supposedly for Plymouth or Dodge but we have not personally found any authenticated listings other than DeSoto and Chrysler as listed above.  E-Mail questions.  PayPal available and required by me from bid winner outside the U..S.A.  Winner pays $10.00 USPS Parcel S&H and $2.00 Insurance within Continental U.S.A.  Outside the U.S. e-Mail with complete delivery address (not just country) for shipping calculation.  We always try to combine shipments of multiple purchases to help the bidder save on shipping cost.  Returns only allowed for items delivered not as described in the listing.

The Sonic is Chevrolet's latest attempt to induce a small car in the American market and take on the Ford Fiesta in one fell swoop. Replacing the generally unaccepted Aveo, the Sonic draws from a youthful and aggressive design in a bid to appeal to the younger market. Available as a four-door sedan (seen here) as well as a five-door hatchback, the Sonic displays a 'progressive exterior design', according to the American brand's press materials.

After showing sketches last week, it has unveiled an in-the-metal version of the 496bhp machine to VW devotees at the annual GTI-fest at Worthersee, Austria. It hasn’t – this is VW’s virtual competitor in Sony’s Gran Turismo 6, joining the likes of the Toyota FT-1, shown at the Detroit motor show, and the BMW Vision Gran Turismo.

Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo: 5 to be built – unless Mercedes set their lawyers loose

There are plans to make the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo (pictured) a reality With the launch of Gran Turismo 6, Mercedes took the opportunity to build a one-off version of the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo Supercar, and took it off to the Los Angeles Auto Show to sprinkle a bit of Gran Turismo fairy dust on proceedings. There are no plans by Mercedes to build the stunning looking AMG Vision Gran Turismo, but that hasn’t stopped Florida company J & S Worldwide Holdings from stepping up and offering a short run of recreations of the car. J & S are advertising their take on the AMG Vision Gran Turismo on James List and say they are going to build just five cars – 2 for Europe, 2 for the Middle East and 1 for the USA – and say they’ve already sold one.
