Here is a cool looking used outside rear view mirror that we recently acquired. From our research we believe that this is for the 57 to about 1960 Mercurys, but please giant size all of the pictures to make sure it looks right for your car. This one is in driver condition and it is not perfect. The mirror glass isn't broken or cracked, but it has just a little red tinge to it where the mirror glaze is faded from the sun. The housing of the mirror isn't cracked, but as you can see in the pictures, it has quite a bit of pitting in the chrome. The chrome is still shiny, but the pits range in size from small to pretty large. It would still be plenty good enough to use on a daily driver type of car. Winning bidder pays only $10.00 shipping anywhere in the US. Int'l extra. Good luck!!

Mon, 20 Jan 2014

McLaren F1 GTR Longtail (pictured) sells at Gooding & Co for $5.28 million Even with the arrival of the new McLaren P1, the ultimate supercar is still the McLaren F1. The McLaren F1 is one of rarest of the more modern supercars, and McLaren produced just 64 road going F1s in addition to a number of racing versions, with the F1 GTR Longtail the last, and rarest, of the breed. So the arrival of a McLaren F1 GTR Longtail on the auction block at Gooding & Co’s sale in Scottsdale raised expectations of a possible record-breaking price for the GTR Longtail, with pre-sale estimates putting the price between $5 and $7 million.

Following the sale of Aston Martin, Land Rover, Jaguar and most recently Volvo (to Chinese automaker Geely), the Blue Oval has now announced the demise of its 'middle of the range' Mercury brand, with production of the last vehicles set to cease at the end of 2010. In a statement released to media, Ford announced that the shuttering of the 71-year old Mercury brand was in the interest of focusing on Lincoln, the automaker's only remaining premium brand.
